that is really infectious and i really like that with this city. because there are 208 clean tech companies in san francisco and there are 83 investors and i think they're all here today. i think we earned the title of north american clean tech group and part of my administration that we support you and we engage with in how to do it better and you're part of my 17 points of job growth in the city. i ran on that as the new mayor in town. by the way i never have ran for public office before so you need to help me look good. i know they're going to work and as mitch said we are the ecosystem. this is how things are happening. this is why people are coming into san francisco. in addition we have a tourist sector going on, life sciences going on. everybody is innovating in the right places and doing it here in san francisco and there is a strong spirit and we will continue growth and jobs everybody. we want to help everybody out and support each other and that comes to what we do here in san francisco. today i am announcing a new initiative and clean t

for decades, we, as a city, have underinvested severely in muni. there's always a reason for divertindiverting money away frm investing in the system. we can always think of great ideas for using muni maintenance, vehicle, and other operational money for a purpose other than makingsrñz muni more reliable. there's always a great reason and mo enthen gets converted and muni and thes'h2b8y riding publc suffer. it's now time to stop using muni money that can be used for maintaining and improving the system for things other than operations and reliability. we need to do this not tomorrow, not a year from now, but now. muni has 420 million in deferred maintenance on its fleet and we see the consequences of that number every day. we haven't purchased enough vehicles, and we have no backup vehicles when they break down."- when vehicles have broken down, we've been sloi to fix them, we fix them inadequately and sometimes they're not even fixed at all and they sit idle. we've significantly reduced our rehabilitation of vehicles including mid-life overhauls

i got to work on with the city administrator. we need to take care of the infrastructure in many ways and we are loving our parks and why we want this great investment to continue and this is another small yet important addition. we will have $35 million more of that with the connection with the port and the next bond so it serves as a great example how we use the park bonds to of benefit of all of our users and residents and especially because we want our southeast sector to continue evolving in a positive way for everybody. it has been a trial for many of the residents here for many years because of the leadership of the different agencies working together with environmental advocates to make sure we strike that right balance we can have the spaces used for the different use and it is enjoyment of the environment at the same time for the residents. thank you for being here with this announcement. we get four things out of this. a dog run, heron's head park with the landscape and wonderful access to it. we have the literacy for
